Michael & Irina Tseitlin will be appearing this summer at the festivals in New York, Italy, Spain and Portugal. For more information look at www.VianaMusicFest.org and www.internationalacademyofmusic.com

Michael and Irina Tseitlin will be traveling to Moscow on invitation of the Bolshoi Theater to attend the premier of Alexander (father of Michael) Tseitlin's ballet “ Class Concert at the Bolshoi Theater in Moscow on July 14th.

Pasha Tseitlin won 1st prize and $1,500 in La Jolla Symphony Competition and will be performing solo with La Jolla Symphony in late spring.

Hayato Ishibashi was selected to compete at the Sendai International Violin Competition in May in Japan.

Pasha Tseitlin performed solo in Rimski-Korsakov's Cappriccio Espagnol as a concertmaster of the USC Symphony under Carl St. Clair conducting.

Elizabeth Peto was featured on Fox Channel TV in Corelli Concerto Grosso on 12/13, she also was chosen to go to Germany as La Jolla Country Day music program exchange student.

Pasha Tseitlin performed solo with Monica Mancini with USC Symphony at the annual USC fund-raiser.

Whittney Thomas
won 1st ($4,000) and Pasha Tseitlin won 2nd ($2,500) prize in 2007 Pasadena Instrumental Competition.

Results of 2006 CIYAC MUSICFEST at the California Center for the Arts, Escondido. 50 contestants from San Diego, Orange County and Los Angeles were competing in this event.

Tamara Louie received the La Jolla Country Day School Strings Department Award for Excellence for the 5th consecutive year. She also was awarded the Rensselaer Medal and $60,000 academic scholarship and selected Concert Misteress of the La Jolla Country Day School Orchestra.

Takashi Ishikawa made finals of the Japan National Music Competition.

Pasha Tseitlin performed in quartet with Midori on November 27, 29 and December 1. On September 18

Pasha Tseitlin performed Szymanovski Concerto No.1 with USC Symphony to a standing ovation.

On September 15 and 17 Pasha Tseitlin performed Schubert’s “Death & the Maiden” with Midori, Whittney Thomas and David Mayer.

On October 18 Pasha performed at the Disney Hall with the USC Symphony, Carl St. Clair conducting. As the concertmaster of the USC Symphony he played cadenza solo in the Tower’s Violin Concerto with an associate concertmaster of New York Philharmonic Michelle Kim (alumna of IMF).

Hayato Ishibashi won 1st place in Goodlin Scholarship Competition

Pasha Tseitlin won 1st place in USC Concerto Competition and performed Szymanovski Concerto No. 1 with USC Symphony on September 18.

Pasha Tseitlin won 1st place in Greater Los Angeles 2006 ASTA Competition.

Pasha Tseitlin won 1st place in Pasadena 2006 ASTA Competition.

Hayato Ishibashi won 1st place in 2006 MTAC State VOCE Competition Finals.

Hayato Ishibashi  won 1st place in 2006 San Diego Symphony's "Hot Shots" Competition and will be performing Mozart Concerto No. 4 with the S.D.Symphony on May 10,11,13.

Keita Ishibashi got honorable mention in 2006 MTAC State VOCE Competition Finals.

Pasha Tseitlin won 2nd place and $2,500 in 2005 Pasadena Instrumental Competition.

2006 San Diego ASTA Competition results: 1st Place - Hayato Ishibashi, 2nd place - Keita Ishibashi

2006 VOCE Competition results: 12years old and under: 1st place Andrea Yu; 2nd place Amy Ingermanson

13-15: 1st place Hayato Ishibashi; 2nd place Takashi Ishikawa; 16 – 18: 1st place Keita Ishibashi

Hayato Ishibashi won 1st prize in 2006 MTAC Concerto Competition and performed Tchaikovsky Concerto with CYO.

Oksana Germain won 3rd prize in 2006 MTAC Concerto Competition.

Hayato Ishibashi won the 1st Prize at American String Teachers Association State Finals Elizabeth Peto received the Middle School Music Department Award for excellence in strings in La Jolla Country Day School.-

Whittney Thomas won a $3000 at the Musical Merit Foundation of Greater San Diego scholarship competition

2005 MTAC-San Diego Branch Duo Festival:

 In Category 1 (ages 7 - 9), Oksana & Kaija Germain received honorable mention.

 In Category 2(10 - 12), Oksana Germain & Ayumi Tachikawa received honorable mention.

H.B. Goodlin Scholarship Competition: Whittney Thomas and Hayato Ishibashi won 1st & 2nd places, respectively in the Senior Instrumental Division.  Floyd Oliver received honorable mention.  

Keita Ishibashi won 1st prize at the 2005 San Diego Symphony Competition and performed Ravel's Tzigane with the SDSymphony on April 27  & 28 at the Copley Symphony Hall.  

Keita Ishibashi  was awarded honorable mention at the La Jolla Symphony Competition.

Hayato Ishibashi won 1st Prize at2005  Young Musicians Foundation's National Debut Competition.

Hayato Ishibashi won 1st prize at 2005 San Diego American String Teachers Association Competition.

Hayato Ishibashi won the silver medal and $2,500 at the 2005 CIYAC Violin Competition.

Whittney Thomas won 2nd prize at 2005 American String Teachers Association competition.
