Curriculum
The
California Institute of Music offers classes in the following disciplines:
Violin, Viola, Piano, and Ensemble.
Yehudi Menuhin Artists Diploma Program
This comprehensive program is designed for serious students
who would like to get a complete, well rounded music education and will
continue their education as a music majors at leading music colleges.
All students in YMAD program are taking two private lessons per week,
music theory, music history, Art of Performance, chamber music, orchestra
or choir, and piano as a second instrument and piano accompaniment classes.
At the end of each semester students take an examination and receive
appropriate grading. YMAD program is open for local students as well
as out-of-town and international students.
Entrance Requirements: A performance audition is required
(Audition selections to be determined by the students primary department.)
