Pasha Tseitlin performed with the San Diego Symphany, Perpetual Motion by Paganini on February 17, 18 and 19th.

Irina Tseitlin will be performing in Belgium and France in May 2009

Irina and Michael Tseitlin will be giving master classes and performing
in Spain, Italy, Portugal and New York from July to August, 2009

Francesca Dego was selected as one of four finalists for prestigious Paganini International Competition in Genoa, Italy. In final round Francesca performed Paganini Concerto No.1 and tchaikovsky Concerto with orchestra.

Takashi Ishikawa, Tseitlin class web cam student was selected to go to semi-finals of Japan national competition.

Irina and Michael Tseitlin will be giving master classes and performing in Tokyo from November 28 - December 5, 2009.

Hayato Ishibashi, won won 2nd place in the Los Angeles Philharmonic Bronislav Kaper Awards and will be performing Bartok Concerto No. 2 with the Los Angeles Philharmonic Orchestra next season at the Disney Hall.

Whittney Thomas and Donald McCinnes won 1st prize and $4,000 at Pasadena Instrumental Competition.

Takashi Ishikawa, Class of Prof. Michael & Prof. Irina Tseitlin won 1st & 2nd rounds of the violin Japan National Competition with performance of Paganini Concerto #1 and in December competed in finals in Tokyo.

Pasha Tseitlin won Grand Prize and $7,000 in Pasadena Instrumental Competition

The “Friends of Musical Arts”
(FoMA) cordially invites you to participate in a fun evening of music and food (hors d’oeuvre and desserts). The event will feature some of the brightest local musical talent, and will afford you the opportunity to meet and mingle with fellow music lovers from the San Diego Metropolitan Area.

All guests will be asked to make a minimum $50 per person contribution to FoMA. 100% of the process will be donated to CIYAC (see below).

When: 6:30 pm on Sunday, January 31, 2009

Where: House of Beth and Danny Dabby, in Del Mar (address to follow upon confirmation of your attendance).

Why: This even is a FoMA fund-raiser to support the California International Young Artist Competition (CIYAC). The competition, featuring the highest caliber of young musicians from around the globe, will take place in San Diego on June 12th and 13th, 2010.

What is FoMA?: FoMA is a non-profit organization whose mission is threefold:
1. To support music education of local artists.
2. To donate instruments to needy students enrolled in music education at junior and high-school levels.
3. To promote the appreciation of classical music via its financial and organizational support of high profile competitors.
